Social media surgeries give people the chance to learn how to blog, use Twitter and other social media tools

A chance for voluntary groups and charities in Cardiff to learn about social media has been launched.

Cardiff’s social media surgery is the place to come if you’re a not for profit organisation that wants to get the basics on blogging or the lowdown on Facebook then this is for you.

The event is taking place on Tuesday 29th June from 5 PM – 7 PM at The Plan in Morgan Arcade in the city centre.

The aim of the event is for people with social media expertise – ‘the surgeons’ – to pass on their knowledge, for free, to individuals, groups and charities who need that extra visibility or know-how on the web.

If you’d like to attend the event, show you’re coming via this site and we’re also on the lookout for anyone who would like to be a surgeon.

The event is organised by Hannah Waldram and Ed Walker, and is based on the original setup by social media company Podnosh, run by Nick Booth.
