The Council is hoping to hand out more penalty charge notices once it takes over responsibility for parking in Cardiff

As Cardiff Council prepares to take over the power to tackle parking in the city, we can reveal where our readers think the parking hotspots are.

Since March we’ve been asking you to report problems with illegal parking and residents parking not being enforced.

There’s a clear picture that Pontcanna/Riverside is being badly affected by problem parking, with Cathays and Roath also suffering from inconsiderate motorists.

Problem areas are also developing in Atlantic Wharf, Grangetown and Gabalfa.

The Council will take over the responsibility for parking from Monday 5th July and have vowed to get tough, putting more wardens on the streets and extending the hours they work.

You can report problem parking areas using the form below and we’ll add them to our map
