Police appeal over ‘Chippy Alley’ assault

Two men suffered facial injuries in a brawl in Cardiff’s notorious “Chippy Alley” at the weekend.

South Wales Police confirmed it was investigating an assault in Caroline Street in the early hours of Sunday.

A police spokesman said the incident was reported to officers on patrol in the city centre at about 2.45am.

No-one has been arrested or questioned at this stage, but enquiries are ongoing.

“Two men aged 20 and 26 sustained facial injuries which did not require hospital treatment at the time,” the spokeswoman said.
