More tickets are due to be released for a Noam Chomsky talk in Cardiff this Spring.

The event featuring the renowned left-wing academic at St David’s Hall had sold out but organisers have revealed 260 tickets are kept back but will only be available for sale on a face-to-face basis.

Organiser Ghaith Al-Jayyoussi said: “There are 260 tickets still available behind the stage. People getting these tickets will be sat behind Chomsky and might not be able to see him face to face.

“We will release these tickets during several events and occasions in Cardiff. We would like to sell them in person to make it clear for those who buy them that they are behind the stage and will not be able to see Chomsky face to face. These tickets will be sold for £5 each.”

Organisers released an initial batch of 150 tickets, which sold out within 2 hours. St David’s Hall put tickets on general sale afterwards and these sold out within 4-5 hours.

Chomsky will be discussing the Middle East in his talk on Saturday 12th March from 11am.

It's unlikely I would be able to get to Wales for this event – but shouldn't such a popular speaker be hosted in a larger space to avoid the inevitable massive disappointment of those unable to get a ticket…?

Such a shame that the tickets have been sold out. I hope he'll be speaking at other venues in the UK.

    What a shambles.
He is one of the most famous speakers in the world and you arrange a venue that is the size of a garden shed
