Police are appealing for information about an aggravated burglary in Penylan.

At about 10pm last Saturday, three masked men forced their way into a property at Pant Yr Wyn. After demanding money, they stole a laptop and a white Commencal mountain bike.

The occupants were not injured.

Detective Sergeant Julian Barwood said: “Detectives and neighbourhood officers have carried out a search and extensive inquiries are ongoing in the area since the incident. We are now appealing for the public to help identify these men and provide an explanation to what was behind this very unusual incident.

“As you can imagine, the occupants of this address were extremely frightened by what took place.”

The first suspect is described as about 22 years old, wearing black Nike trousers and a dark grey and red baseball jacket. The second was white, of stocky build, wearing a black balaclava-type mask and grey jogging bottoms. The third was wearing a black cotton mask and black clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Rumney Police on 029 2077 4233.
