Elvis Tribute Night
Visit the Wharf in Cardiff Bay on Saturday June 11th for a fun filled evening. Tickets cost £8 and are available from www.seetickets.com, with proceeds going to Reaching Out – a charity that supports disabled orphans in Vietnam. The evening also features a raffle.
Diabetes UK Cymru Magenta Bike Ride
Join Diabetes UK Cymru for their first Magenta bike ride. Starting at 10am at Pontcanna Fields Car Park on Sunday 12th June, the challenge takes cyclists across a six mile route, helping to raise vital funds and awareness for the charity. Charity Raft Race
Join in the fun at Llandaff Rowing Club to raise money and awareness for George Thomas Hospice Care. The race will take teams from Radyr Weir to Llandaff Rowing Club along the River Taff in a home made raft. This all takes place on Sunday 12th June at 12 noon and entry costs £100 per team for teams with a minimum of four rowers and maximum of ten.
70s Fancy Dress Disco Night
Diabetes UK Cymru are holding a fancy dress disco night at Whitchurch Rugby Club on Friday 17th June. Tickets cost £5 and all money raised goes towards supporting people living with diabetes in Wales and funding research in to the condition. The British Heart Foundation’s Mending Broken Hearts appeal are holding a summer fayre to raise awareness and funds for those with heart problems The fayre will be held at Llandaff Rowing Club on Saturday 18th June from 11am until 2pm and will include stalls, a champagne bar, a bouncy castle, brass band and Punch and Judy. George Thomas Hospice Care are holding a fun day at Tŷ George Thomas in Whitchurch on Saturday 25th June. The day will include stalls, refreshments and competitions, topped off with an afternoon tea, brass band and big prize raffle. The day runs from 11am until 3pm and admission is free.
The British Heart Foundation’s Golden Ball
Join in the celebrations as the British Heart Foundation celebrates its 50th birthday in style. Their Golden Ball will be held in the grounds of Cardiff Castle on Saturday June 25th, starting at 7pm. Tickets for this grand occasion include a sparkling reception, three course dinner and entertainment and cost £50 per person or £450 for a table of ten. Continuing British Heart Foundation’s 50th birthday celebrations, afternoon tea is being held at the Lord Mayor’s mansion House on Richmond Road. Tickets cost £15 and include afternoon tea, sandwiches, scones and patisseries served on the Terrace, along with entertainment. Afternoon Tea takes place on Thursday June 30th from 2.30pm until 5.30.
