Car ploughs into central reservation in Gabalfa

A car has ploughed into the central reservation along Western Avenue, in Gabalfa.

The incident happened shortly after 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday) evening.

A South Wales Police spokeswoman said the barrier had collided with the car’s passenger side, although the driver did not require an ambulance and suffered no injuries.

Conflicting accounts were given of an earlier road traffic collision which occurred on Llanedeyrn Road, Penylan, Cardiff.

A South Wales Fire and Rescue Spokeswoman said the collision, at 6.16pm, involved one vehicle and two people were conveyed to hospital by ambulance. However according to police, the collision, noted at 5.56pm, involved two vehicles, but no one went to hospital.
