Milk van hijacked by balaclava-clad thief

A milk van was  hijacked  by a  balaclava-clad thief  in the early hours of the morning at  the weekend  –  before being dumped  with false number  plates.
Officers investigating the theft Police are  appealing to the  public for information  after the incident,  which happened at  around 5.20am on  Saturday  in Purcell  Road, Llanrumney,  Cardiff.
The hijacker –  described as white,  5ft 10ins tall, slim and  wearing a black  balaclava – pushed  the driver, stole his  keys and sped off  towards Elgar  Crescent.
Police said that at the time of the incident  there were milk  bottles displaying the  name “Cotswold  Dairies” on the back of the van.
The white Peugeot  Expert was later  found at Pant Glas in  Pentwyn, complete with number plates belonging to another vehicle, which have been taken away for examination.
