Help us map Cardiff’s potholes

Cardiff Council has announced plans for a £1.4m blitz on pothole-ridden roads in the capital.

With the council pledging to spend the money over the next three financial years trying to sort out the damage caused by successive freezing winters, we want to hear about the potholes you have seen around the city that you think the council needs to tackle.

Bumpy Westgate Street, in the city centre, and Rover Way in the east top a list of priority roads being drawn up by Cardiff council following a survey of the citys highways last summer, but are there other places you think the council may have missed?

Fill in the form here, and add links to pictures of damaged roads, to let us know about the problems in your area.

Why not just get people to use

Or you could just report them directly to the council here:,31

After all, if there's a problem it's better to tell the people who are meant to solve the problem!

Your Cardiff doesn’t want to stop people reporting potholes to the council. You can do it directly to the council or through Fix My Street. We will also pass on all reports to our map to the local authority.

Our reason for putting together our own map is to compile a city-wide picture of the scale of the problem, which has a massive effect on people in Cardiff, and in so doing to put public pressure on the local authority to devote adequate resources to the problem and provide long-term fixes for the worst roads in the city.
