Radyr Library will reopen tomorrow after a seven-month refurbishment.
The library will open from 9am with a day of celebratory activities including children’s crafts, a story time session at 2pm, and refreshments.
The building has been imrpoved inside and out, with new furnishings and updated fixtures. The floor space has also been extended, disability access improved, and better IT facilities will be on offer.
There will be free WiFi, a replenished book stock, as well as a new community and study area, children’s play area and public toilet facilities.
Cabinet Member for education and lifelong learning Councillor Julia Magill said: “I very much welcome the re-opening of Radyr Library – a much used community resource. The refurbishment has provided the opportunity to improve all the facilities at the library and I am delighted that library members will have a new and much improved facility.”
To join Radyr Library, bring one item of ID along with you. Under 16s can use their parent or carer’s ID.
