CCTV images released in Llandaff attempted robbery appeal

CCTV images of the man police would like to speak to in connection with the attempted robbery on Wednesday.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to question in connection with the attempted robbery of a security guard in Llandaff earlier this week.

The incident happened at around 10.3am on Wednesday, when a man tried to grab a cash box from a security guard outside the a branch of Barclays Bank on Cardiff Road.

No money was stolen and the guard was not injured, but the suspect ran away in the direction of the Maltsers Pub, toward Ely Road.

He is described as black, approximately 5ft 10 inches tall, of slim build and in his early 20s.

South Wales Police said he was wearing a dark jacket, jeans, a black baseball cap, a dark coloured bandana and gloves.
