Cardiff’s Plastik Magazine is looking for volunteers to help make a magazine, from start to finish, in just one day.

The online culture magazine is organising Content: A Magazine in a Day at the Cardiff School of Journalism on October 6  to coincide with the Cardiff Design Festival – now in its 8th year.

The free event will see a team of 30 people meet early in the morning to think up an idea and brand for the magazine, then head out to carry out interviews, write features, draw illustrations and design lay-out pages.

At the end of they day, the team will meet back at the city’s journalism school, where the whole thing will be brought together, edited and finished late in the evening.

Marc Thomas, editor of Plastik Magazine, said: “This is a great chance for the creatives of the city to do something together. We’re taking a lot of inspiration from similar events around the world which have been really successful. Cardiff is such a small city but often it’s quite hard to get people together to do something like this – we think we can make it work for the event. It should be a great day.”

Register for a free ticket for Content: Magazine in a Day here, and find out more information about the event on Plastik Magazine’s website.
