Man robbed of his mobile phone in Adamsdown park

Police are appealing for information after a man was robbed of his mobile phone in an Adamsdown park.

South Wales Police said a 36-year-old man reported being robbed of his phone by four men sometime between 9.30pm and 10pm on Tuesday July 24.

The men befriended the victim walking from City Road, Oxford Lane, Wordsworth Avenue crossing Newport Road, Orbit Street, Gold Street, Clifton Street, Ruby Street and into Helen Park.

The stolen phone was a white Samsung Galaxy S3.

One of the suspects told the victim that he was Portuguese. He is described as black and in his early 20s, and had a foreign accent but spoke good English.

Another suspect was also black and in his early 20s, spoke with a similar accent, and was wearing coloured plastic sunglasses which were possibly green and white.
