Man suffers head injuries in Grangetown assault

A man has been left with head injuries following a serious assault outside the Neville Public House in Grangetown in the early hours of Sunday morning.

South Wales Police said it was investigating the assault of a 31-year-old man in an incident outside the pub on Clare Road.

A 22-year-old man from the area was arrested the next day and has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent, but officers are still looking for witnesses to the incident.

Investigating Officer DC Kate Fullstone said: “I am looking for witnesses, in particular any taxi drivers, that were flagged down after the assault.”
