Cardiff Council’s planning committee will hold its February meeting on Wednesday, February 13 in City Hall from 2.30pm.
Applications due to be considered by councillors this month include the controversial plans for a new wakeboard and waterskiing park at Bute East Dock, which will come back before the committee for a third time on Wednesday.
An application to turn a car showroom into a Sainsbury’s in Rhiwbina will also be discussed in the face of strong local opposition, as well as proposals for a development of almost 50 new houses in Danescourt.
Also coming back before the planning committee is the Splott incinerator. YourCardiff reported last month how councillors decided to defer a decision on enforcement action, after Viridor – the firm behind the energy-from-waste plant – began work on the site without meeting the “pre-implementation” conditions attached to its planning permission. Councillors will look again at the issue, and see whether the conditions have now been met.
All the applications on the agenda are mapped below, and you can read about each one in detail in the original planning documents below that.
