Police in Cardiff are investigating a break-in at the city’s flagship John Lewis store in the early hours of this morning.
South Wales Police said they were notified of the burglary in the store’s jewellery department at around 7am this morning, and are currently working to establish which items, if any, have been stolen.
A spokeswoman said scenes of crime teams had been at The Hayes department store today, and officers are currently looking through CCTV as part of their investigations.
A spokeswoman for John Lewis said: “We can confirm there was a break-in last night at John Lewis Cardiff. The branch is trading as normal today. As a police investigation is currently underway, we are unable to comment any further at this time.”
